How to write a SOP?

 The Statement of Purpose (SOP) is the decision maker of your application. It helps the admission committee assess your take on life, your career goals, beliefs, subject knowledge, and your vision. In short, a well-written SOP paints your overall personality for the universities which you want to join. It is an opportunity to pitch your purpose to the committee and reasons why they should choose you over other applicants and why you are the best among all.statement or a letter of intent, is written to the admission panel and talks about your career path, interests, professional contributions, goals it force and showed your interest in a particular program a well written SOP reflects how well you express your thoughts using your writing skills.the well SOP included with personal background, financial background and public your achievements if any ur experiences and ur hobbies too.all this topic makes a good statement of purpose it should be minimum 2 to 3 pages length . There are some headings to come up with a excellence statement of purpose some of them are as follows -

 Outline statement -

start up  hook- the university board will get attracted towards your past experiences with your interest to a particular subject and u have achieved or study best among in your field . Mention all the aspects and best off your knowledge about a particular subject which u are interested to pursue for eg; physics, biology, mathematics etc whichever subject u were interested in .

• for knowledge about how u got an interest towards in this particular subject why u decided to choose this particular field and come up with the stories of the experience old persons knowledge who have achieved there goals in the subject 


Underline your experiences in a particular field:talk about your  past experiences and in your school and college days how you got an interest in the field . How you started pursuing  about the topic during your graduation .plan it in a good way

•Volunteer work, if any

show your future plans :be expressive about your future plans try to tell it Don't show off u can tell like what u want to become eg: a professor by mentioning a name of the famous one .


Points to be noted to write statement of purpose


Work on the draft

Focus on sharing your learnings and knowledge during your education and industry experience. Limit the use of technical terms and use active voice when writing your SOP. If there is a gap year or an academic issue, address them in an optimistic manner. Make sure your SOP has a clear introduction and conclusion. Remember, you should always write your SOP in reverse chronological order.


Write how u come to know about the university - write about the past students experiences of the university who told you about the university studies,abt the well educated professor and experiences which helped them to get succeed in their life's 


Mention the name of your idol person -write the name of a person ur dream to whom u wants to work with it should be any one no need to tell only big names it should be real

                  Don't overwrite - it should be not too long as long as it will be annoying. It should be in the range of 500 to 1000 words and don't exceed it. Try to be real and expressive. Don't try to make it too lengthy, just follow the instructions which are mentioned.

 

Review your statement of purpose - after completing the SOP  read it loud , specialized vocabulary , it should be nice in reading loud will come to know if there are any mistakes or if there any statement is too lengthy double check before submission .


Tips to write a successful statement of purpose -

stick to the basic information don't write the complete history

•Plan it well

•avoid sensitive topics

•Talk about learning experiences

•write formal statement don't us flattered languages

•Avoid too many technical terms.

•Do not lie in your Statement of Purpose, dishonesty may lead to rejection.

•Do not exceed the given word limit.

•don't write that institution was not your first choice

•beware with your humor it can backfire.
